10 Modern Duplex Units for Homeownership in Tacoma

Building Wealth in Central Tacoma

Led by Reggie Brown and Project Manager Lexie Brown, Veya turned an empty Central Tacoma lot into a vibrant 10-unit residential community focused on expanding homeownership.

This 'Missing Middle' development maximizes a small footprint to offer intelligently designed residences that cater to everyone from first-time buyers to expanding families.

By partnering with organizations like the Black Home Initiative (BHI), the team actively bridges the gap between residents and the chance to generate generational wealth. The project was delivered in nine months—proving that family-led collaborations can produce high-quality housing.

We wanted to create homes that serve real families with real needs, that meant thinking about how people actually live and build wealth, not just how many units we could fit.
